Mushroom gravy is the spicy and creamy recipe, that goes well with Roti, Paratha, Idly, Dosa, and Idiyappam. Everyone has their own way of cooking gravy. This is a simple and tasty restaurant-style Mushroom gravy. Feel free to add your own Masala Powder. By adding Garam masala, cashew paste enhances the flavor of this gravy; Whenever I prepare this gravy, I increase my roti numbers. Kids love to have. This recipe is simple to make, also this gravy won’t go wrong and it is a perfect bachelor recipe.

Come I will share with you all how to make Mushroom gravy /Mushroom masala with step by step pictorial  procedure.

 Ingredients:

  •            Mushroom-500gram
  •            Cooking oil-3tbsp
  •            Shallots/Indian onion- 15 nos.
  •          Cloves- 2
  •          Cinnamon- 1 (2 inch)
  •          Cardamom- 2
  •          Tomato chopped- 1(big)
  •          Mustard seeds- 1tsp
  •         Cumin seeds- 1tsp
  •         Fennel seeds- 1tsp
  •         Garam masala powder -1tbsp
  •         Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  •        Red chili powder-1tbsp
  •           Cashews-15 no’s
  •           Curry leaves, Coriander leaves- few
  •    salt

Preparation:

  • Clean and chop the mushrooms into small pieces.

Masala Preparation:

  •   Take a pan, Add ½ tsp oil with 15 shallots, 1 chopped tomato in a pan, Garam masala, Chilli powder, salt, Turmeric powder sauté well, and Blend it into a smooth paste by adding little water.  
  • Using Blender, Add 10 cashews, fennel seeds with little water, Blend it into a fine paste.
Instructions:
  •    Take a pan  to heat 2 tbsp oil, mustard seeds,  cinnamon, cloves, cardamom,     cumin seeds, curry leaves, sauté it.
  •     Add the grounded masala paste and sauté it well.
  •     Add chopped mushrooms,  salt, cook well for 10 min.
  •    Then, add cashew paste, mix, cook well.
  •     Garnish it with coriander leaves and turn off the flame.

  Serve the tasty Mushroom gravy along with the best combo dishes like jeera rice, Ghee rice, Coconut rice, Roti, paratha, and Idiyappam to stimulate your taste buds.

Step1: Clean and chop the mushrooms into small pieces.

    Step8: Garnish it with coriander leaves and turn off the flame.

  

                   Yummy Simple Mushroom Gravy is ready to serve!!

Poondu Kuzhambu
  Poondu Kuzhambu is a simple spicy recipe, easy for beginners to do. and We can have this Poondu Kuzhambu curry with steam rice  & any veg poriyal, Papad.

Ingredients
  •    Shallots- 1 cup
  •     Grated Coconut– 1 cup
  •      Onion chopped -1
  •      Garlic- 1 cup
  •      Tomato -2(finely chopped)
  •      Oil -4 tbsp
  •      Chili powder- 1 tsp
  •      Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  •      Curry leaves- few
  •      Coriander leaves (few)
  •      Cumin seeds- 1/2 tbsp
  •      Fenugreek seeds- 1/2tbsp
  •      Mustard-1/2tsp
  •      HomemadeKuzhambu Masala – 3 tbsp

Preparation
 ðŸ“Œ Take 1 tsp of oil and add shallots, tomato. Sauté it well and grind it into a smooth paste.
    ðŸ“Œ Add a cup of grated coconut with little water and grind well
   ðŸ“Œ Soak a lemon size tamarind in warm water and extract its juice (1/2 cup). Throw the pulp.

Method:

·     1. Heat a pan with 3tbsp oil, mustard, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves. Sauté well.
·      2. Now add chopped onion, salt, and cook well till onion turns glassy.
·                Then, add 1 cup of Garlic, cook well.
·    3.Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 3 tbsp Kuzhambu masala and sauté well on low flame.
·    4.Now, add tomato-onion paste and Sauté well.
·     5. Add the 1cup water, mix well.  
·     6. Add the ½ cup tamarind juice in it and cook well.
·     7. Then, add the coconut paste, cook for 10 min, and add the salt if required.
·     8. Finally, garnish with coriander leaves and
Serve the yummy Poondu Kuzhambu with Steamed white rice!!!!

Step 1:  Soak a lemon size tamarind in warm water and extract its juice (1/2 cup). Throw the pulp.

 Step 2:   Grind fried shallots and tomato, make a smooth paste.


Step 3: Add 1 cup of grated coconut with little water and grind well

                                                                 
Step4:  take a pan add oil, mustard, cumin, fenugreek seeds  curry leaves and sauté well


Step5: Add chopped onion and salt till onion turns glassy.


Step 6:  Add 1cup of garlic sauté well.


Step7:  Then, add ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder,3 tbsp Kuzhambu masala and sauté it on low flame




Step 8: Add shallot –tomato paste and sauté well.




  Step 9: Add the 1cup of water and cook well.


Step 10: Add the ½ cup tamarind juice in it cook well.


Step 11: add the coconut paste, salt. Cook well for 10 min.



Step 12: Garnish with coriander leaves and  



        Serve the yummy Poondu Kuzhambu with Steam rice!!!

Aloo Matar Curry
 Aloo Matar Curry is a simple Punjabi recipe tempering with spices, onions give more flavor to the curry, It is an easy recipe for beginners to do and won’t go wrong. It’s a loved recipe for kids. Ingredients
  •    Oil -4 tbsp
  •       Matar(Green peas) – 1 cup
  •       Aloo (potato)- 7
  •         Shattots- 1 cup
  •    Coconut -1 cup
  •    Big onion - chopped
  •          Tomato -2(finely chopped)
  •       Green Chilly -2
  •    Ginger Garlic paste - 1tbsp
  •       Cumin seeds- ½ tbsp
  •       Mustard-1/2tsp
  •    Chilli powder- 1 tsp
  •       Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  •       Garam masala – 2 tbsp
  •       Salt- required 
  •      Curry leaves- few
  •       Coriander leaves -few

Preparation
  •     Add the 1 cup Matar and 7 Aloo in a pressure cooker with 2 ½ cups of water for 3 whistles and make aloo into small pieces.
  •      Take 1 tsp of oil and add  shallots  sauté it well.
  •      Add a 1cup of coconut and fried shallots into the mixer and grind well.

Method:
  •     Heat a pan with oil, mustard, cumin seeds, curry leaves.
  •      Now add chopped onion, salt and cook well till onion turns glassy.
  •      Then, Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste 
  •   Now, add 2 chopped tomatoes and cook well till the tomatoes turn mushy.
  •  Add, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 2 tbsp garam masala and   sauté well on low flame.     
  •      Add the cooked Aloo and Matar and mix well
  •     Then, Add the coconut -shallot paste and 1 cup of water, cook well for 10     min and add the salt for taste.
  •      Finally, garnish with coriander leaves.
                 Serve the tasty aloo Matar curry with poori !!!!.

Step 1:  Cook Matar and Aloo in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.


 Step 2:   Grind fried shallots and coconut in a mixer.      

  
                
Step 3:  Take a pan add oil, mustard, cumin, curry leaves, and sauté well.
                                                                 
Step4:  Add chopped onion and salt till onion turns glassy.


 Step5: Add the ginger garlic paste in it and cook for few minutes.

Step 6: Then, add Chopped tomato, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder,2 tbsp garam masala and sauté it.

 

Step7: Add cooked aloo and Matar, mix well.


Step 8: Add the ground shallot coconut paste and water cook for 15 min
          
  

Step 9:  Add salt and cook well for 10 min.

Step 10:Finally garnish it with coriander leaves. 


       Aloo Matar curry with poori is ready to serve.😋😋😋😋
